SMWCHS The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a * Special Marine Warning for... Charleston Harbor... Coastal waters from South Santee River to Edisto Beach SC out 20 NM... * Until 130 PM EDT. * At 1247 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line from near Crab Bank to 7 NM southwest of Air Force Reef, moving southeast at 15 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Charleston Nearshore Reef, Air Force Reef, Joe Shuford Reef, Charleston Coastal Anglers, Charleston Sixty, Rattlesnake Shoal, Charleston Harbor Entrance, Crab Bank and Castle Pinkney.
