For the following areas... Coastal waters from South Santee River to Edisto Beach SC out 20 NM... At 814 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 7 NM west of Cape Romain Reef, moving north at 15 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 34 knots. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... Hector Reef and Cape Romain Reef.
