For the following areas... Waters from Edisto Beach SC to Altamaha Sound out 20 NM... At 629 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located over Channel Buoy 5, moving north at 10 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... Whitewater Reef, Channel Buoy 5, Gaskins Bank Wreck, Gaskin Banks, Fish America, Savannah Buoy, Hilton Head Reef, Calibogue Sound and Savannah River Entrance.
