Coastal waters from Edisto Beach SC to Savannah GA out 20 NM... * Until 600 PM EDT. * At 528 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located over Saint Helena Sound, moving southeast at 10 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 34 knots. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Saint Helena Sound, Pelican Bank and Fripp Inlet Buoy.
