SMWCHS The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a * Special Marine Warning for... Waters from Savannah GA to Altamaha Sound GA extending from 20 to 60 NM... * Until 100 PM EDT. * At 1054 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 16 NM southeast of R2 Tower, moving northwest at 15 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 34 knots. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... R2 Tower, Tug Delta Diamond, Tug Senasqua, Sayler Barge, Dredge Henry, Latex Barge and Honey Barge.
