Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes. Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, large hail, high waves, dangerous lightning, and heavy rain are possible with this storm. Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor immediately. Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal objects. Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or the National Weather Service. For the following areas... Coastal waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach FL out 20 NM... At 537 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located over Juno Beach, moving east at 10 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and large hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in structural damage. Locations impacted include... Jupiter, Jupiter Inlet, Jupiter Inlet Colony, Tequesta, Juno Beach, North Palm Beach, and Riviera Beach.
