Long Island Sound East of New Haven CT / Port Jefferson NY to the Mouth of the Connecticut River... * Until 715 PM EDT. * At 629 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near The Thimbles, moving southeast at 25 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Madison Reef, Falkner Island, Central Long Island Sound, The Thimbles, and Six Mile Reef.
