SMWOKX The National Weather Service in Upton NY has issued a * Special Marine Warning for... Fire Island Inlet to Montauk Point NY out 60 NM... * Until 915 PM EDT. * At 809 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Westhampton Beach to 12 nm southeast of Great South Bay, moving east at 25 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Severe thunderstorms will be near... Shinnecock Inlet around 815 PM EDT.
