Bulletin details

For the following areas... Delaware Bay waters north of East Point NJ to Slaughter Beach DE... At 721 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 10 nm east of Reedy Point to near Sea Breeze to 6 nm northwest of Bowers Beach, moving east at 25 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and large hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in structural damage. Locations impacted include... Fortesque Beach, Sea Breeze, Pea Patch Island, Slaughter Beach, Bowers Beach, Woodland Beach, Stony Point, Miah Maull Light, Ship John Shoal Light, Cross Ledge Light, and Reedy Point.
