Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are expected. Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the open water, stay below deck if possible and keep away from ungrounded metal objects.

For the following areas... Coastal waters from Cape Henlopen to Fenwick Island DE out 20 NM... Coastal waters from Cape May NJ to Cape Henlopen DE out 20 NM... Coastal waters from Great Egg Inlet to Cape May NJ out 20 NM... Waters from Cape May NJ to Fenwick Island DE from 20 to 60 NM... Waters from Great Egg Inlet NJ to Cape May NJ from 20 to 60 NM... At 1222 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Cape May Reef to 10 nm southwest of Five Fathoms Buoy to 6 nm east of Fenwick Island, moving east at 45 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... 28-Mile Wreck, Five Fathoms Buoy, Buoy 2fb, Delaware Lightship Buoy 44009, Buoy 4fb, and Cape May Reef.
