For the following areas... Waters from Cape May NJ to Fenwick Island DE from 20 to 60 NM... At 723 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 22 nm northeast of Chicken Bone to 37 nm southeast of Delaware Lightship Buoy 44009, moving east at 40 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. The severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.
