Bulletin details

For the following areas... Chesapeake Bay from Pooles Island to Sandy Point MD... Chesapeake Bay north of Pooles Island MD... Chester River to Queenstown MD... At 156 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from near Turkey Point to 7 nm south of Spesutie Island to near Worton Point, moving east at 35 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Locations impacted include... Baltimore Light, Love Point, Tolchester Beach, and Chester River.
