Bulletin details

For the following areas... Chesapeake Bay from North Beach to Drum Point MD... Chesapeake Bay from Sandy Point to North Beach MD... Choptank River to Cambridge MD and the Little Choptank River... Eastern Bay... At 556 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Poplar Island to near Choptank River to near James Island, moving northeast at 20 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. Gusty winds will arrive well ahead of the rainfall. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel. Locations impacted include... Parsons Island, Choptank River, Miles River, Eastern Bay, Blackwalnut Point, James Island, Poplar Island, and Tilghman Island.
