For the following areas... Tidal Potomac from Indian Head to Cobb Island MD... At 1020 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Mathias Point, moving east at 20 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel. Locations impacted include... Swan Point, Mathias Point, U.S. 301 Nice Memorial Bridge, Maryland Point, Nanjemoy Creek, Port Tobacco River, Popes Creek, Westmoreland State Park, Fairview Beach, and Cobb Island.
