For the following areas... Tidal Potomac from Cobb Island MD to Smith Point VA... At 244 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located over Tall Timbers, moving northeast at 15 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Boaters in small craft could be thrown overboard by suddenly higher winds and waves capsizing their vessel. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Locations impacted include... Breton Bay, Saint Clements Bay, Coles Point, White Point Beach, and Tall Timbers.
