Bulletin details

For the following areas... James River from JRB to HRBT, Including the Elizabeth River... James River from Jamestown to the James River Bridge... At 307 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Monitor Merrimack Bridge Tunnel, moving east at 20 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... Hampton River Inlet, James River Bridge, Hampton Flats, Monitor Merrimack Bridge Tunnel, Willoughby Bay, Sewells Point, Dominion Pier, and Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel.
