At 641 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Poquoson, moving east at 20 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... Hampton River Inlet, James River Bridge, Hampton Flats, Monitor Merrimack Bridge Tunnel, Willoughby Bay, Burwell Bay, Sewells Point, and Dominion Pier.
