Waters from High Island to Freeport TX from 20 to 60 NM... * Until noon CDT. * At 1029 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 11 nm south of Galveston 344 to 6 nm east of Brazos 548, moving northwest at 15 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots. Locally higher gusts possible. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas.
