Matagorda Bay... * Until 115 PM CDT. * At 1142 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located over Tabs Buoy W, moving west at 30 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 35 to 40 knots. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Tabs Buoy W, Matagorda Ship Channel, Turtle Bay, Brazos 490, Matagorda Island 557, Port Lavaca, and southwestern Palacios Bay.
