For the following areas... Coastal waters from High Island to Freeport TX out 20 NM... Galveston Bay... At 628 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 nm north of Trinity Bay, moving south at 35 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... East Galveston Bay, Galveston Ship Channel, Galveston Bay Entrance, Galveston Bay, Tabbs Bay, North Jetty, Galveston Pier 21, Trinity Bay, Smith Point, Rollover Pass, Black Duck Bay, The Texas City Dike, Eagle Point, Upper San Jacinto Bay, and Offatts Bayou.
