Terrebonne Bay... * Until 1100 PM CDT. * At 1004 PM CDT, a cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts was located along a line extending from near Atchafalaya Bay to near Isle Derniers to 36 nm southwest of Louisiana Offshore Oil Port, moving northwest at 20 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats...damage vessels and oil rigs...and create suddenly higher waves.
