For the following areas... Coastal waters from Port Fourchon Louisiana to Lower Atchafalaya River LA from 20 to 60 NM... Coastal waters from Southwest Pass of the Mississippi River to Port Fourchon Louisiana from 20 to 60 NM... At 501 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 24 nm east of Ship Shoal 198 to 50 nm south of Southwest Pass Of the Mississippi River, moving south at 15 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.
