SMWMFL The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a * Special Marine Warning for... Coastal waters from Chokoloskee to Bonita Beach FL out 20 NM... Waters from Chokoloskee to Bonita Beach FL from 20 to 60 NM... * Until 1000 AM EDT. * At 937 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 11 nm northwest of D Tower, moving southwest at 10 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * The severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
