SMWTAE The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a * Special Marine Warning for... Coastal Waters From Ochlockonee River to Apalachicola FL out to 20 Nm... Coastal Waters from Mexico Beach to Apalachicola out 20 NM... Waters from Mexico Beach to Apalachicola FL from 20 to 60 NM... Waters from Suwannee River to Apalachicola FL from 20 to 60 NM... * Until 830 AM EDT/730 AM CDT/. * At 633 AM EDT/533 AM CDT/, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 34 nm southwest of C Tower to 19 nm southeast of Empire Mica Wreck to 25 nm south of S Tower to 38 nm south of V Tower. The severe thunderstorms were nearly stationary. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect wind gusts in excess of 34 knots...suddenly higher waves...frequent lightning...and heavy downpours. Waterspouts can quickly form and capsize boats and damage vessels. Make sure all on board are in a secure location and wearing life jackets. * Severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.
