The Upper and Lower Niagara River and Buffalo Harbor... * Until 1215 PM EDT. * At 1117 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Lake Erie Beach, or 16 nm northeast of Dunkirk, moving east at 45 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Small Boat Harbor, Lake Erie Beach, Grand Island, Woodlawn Beach, Erie Basin Marina, Sturgeon Point, Youngstown, Wanakah, Lewiston, Dunkirk, Athol Springs, Bayview, and Sunset Bay.
