SMWCLE The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a * Special Marine Warning for... Nearshore waters from Conneaut OH to Ripley NY... Open waters from Conneaut OH to Ripley NY... * Until 215 AM EDT. * At 122 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 8 nm northeast of Erie, moving east at 10 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small hail. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * The severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
