For the following areas... Lake Michigan South of a line from Seul Choix Point to the Mackinac Bridge and North of a line from Charlevoix MI to South Fox Island 5NM offshore... Lake Michigan from Charlevoix to Point Betsie MI 5NM Offshore to mid lake... Norwood MI to 5NM West of Mackinac Bridge including Little Traverse Bay... Seul Choix Point to 5NM West of Mackinac Bridge... Sleeping Bear Point to Grand Traverse Light MI... Straits of Mackinac within 5 nm of Mackinac Bridge including Mackinac Island... At 1047 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 9 nm north of Grand Traverse Light to 10 nm east of Cana Island Light, moving south at 35 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... Mackinac Island, South Fox Island, Waugoshance Point, Good Hart, Big Rock Point, Gros Cap, Charlevoix, Cecil Bay, The Mackinac Bridge, Petoskey, Sturgeon Bay, Norwood, Harbor Springs, Beaver Island, Saint Ignace, Cross Village, Mackinac Bridge, Point Aux Chenes, and The Mouth Of Little Traverse Bay.
