SMWAPX The National Weather Service in Gaylord has issued a * Special Marine Warning for... Lake Huron from Sturgeon Point to Alabaster MI 5NM off shore to US/Canadian border... Sturgeon Pt to Alabaster MI... * Until 230 PM EDT. * At 1237 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 13 nm east of Oscoda, moving east at 15 knots. Another storm was located just east of Tawas Point, and additional storms of varying strength will move into the warned area through the next hour or two. HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and large hail. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in structural damage. * Locations impacted include... Tawas Bay, East Tawas, Central Lake Huron Buoy, Au Sable Point, Harrisville, Oscoda, and Tawas Point.
