For the following areas... Lake Michigan Michigan City IN to St. Joseph MI 5 NM offshore to mid-line of lake.... New Buffalo MI to St Joseph MI... At 222 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 9 nm west of St. Joseph Light, moving east at 40 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
