For the following areas... Lake Michigan Michigan City IN to St. Joseph MI 5 NM offshore to mid-line of lake.... Michigan City IN to New Buffalo MI... New Buffalo MI to St Joseph MI... At 600 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 13 nm north of New Buffalo, or 17 nm west of St. Joseph, moving southeast at 30 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and large hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in structural damage. Locations impacted include... New Buffalo and Michigan City.
