Bulletin details

For the following areas... 5NM East of a line from Fairport MI to Rock Island Passage... Green Bay North of line from Cedar River MI to Rock Island Passage... Lake Michigan from Seul Choix Point to Rock Island Passage 5NM offshore to Mid Lake... At 957 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 17 nm west of South Fox Island to 6 nm east of Rock Island to 8 nm southwest of Minneapolis Shoal, moving southeast at 35 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and large hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in structural damage. Locations impacted include... St Martin Island.
