For the following areas... Grand Traverse Bay south of a line Grand Traverse Light to Norwood MI... Lake Michigan from Charlevoix to Point Betsie MI 5NM Offshore to mid lake... Lake Michigan from Point Betsie to Manistee MI 5NM offshore to Mid Lake... Manistee to Point Betsie MI... Point Betsie to Sleeping Bear Point MI... Sleeping Bear Point to Grand Traverse Light MI... At 1216 AM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 18 nm southeast of Traverse City to 13 nm west of Point Betsie, moving south at 10 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... Suttons Bay, Traverse City, Arcadia, Sleeping Bear Point, Empire, Leland, Point Betsie, Glen Arbor, Pyramid Point, Elk Rapids, and Frankfort.
