For the following areas... Grand Traverse Bay south of a line Grand Traverse Light to Norwood MI... Lake Michigan from Charlevoix to Point Betsie MI 5NM Offshore to mid lake... Point Betsie to Sleeping Bear Point MI... Sleeping Bear Point to Grand Traverse Light MI... At 1112 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Elk Rapids, moving southeast at 40 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... Suttons Bay, Northport, Glen Arbor, North Manitou Island, Grand Traverse Light, Old Mission Lighthouse, Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Point, Leland, Pyramid Point, South Manitou Island, Elk Rapids, and Cat Head Point.
