Bulletin details

For the following areas... Nearshore waters from Washington Island to Sturgeon Bay... Open waters of Lake Michigan from Rock Island Passage to Sturgeon Bay... At 559 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 NM east of Whitefish Point, moving east at 25 knots. HAZARD...Large hail and wind gusts to 34 knots. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in structural damage. This strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
