Bulletin details

For the following areas... Nearshore waters from Sturgeon Bay to Two Rivers... Open waters of Lake Michigan from Sturgeon Bay to Sheboygan... At 1101 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 17 NM southeast of Kewaunee Pierhead Light, moving southeast at 25 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, large hail, and wind gusts to nearly 50 knots. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in structural damage. This strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
