For the following areas... Open Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Wilmette Harbor out to Mid Lake... At 1113 PM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 14 nm east of Waukegan Harbor, moving east at 20 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
