Nearshore and Open Waters from St Joseph to Grand Haven MI... * Until 330 AM EDT. * At 130 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 31 nm west of South Haven Light, moving northeast at 25 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small hail. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * Locations impacted include... Saugatuck Pier Heads, South Haven Light, St. Joseph Light, and St. Joseph.
