For the following areas... Lake Ontario from Youngstown to Sunset Beach... The Lower Niagara River... At 708 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 15 nm northeast of Fort Niagara, or 15 nm northeast of Niagara River, moving southeast at 40 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... Wilson, Fort Niagara, Thirty Mile Point, and Olcott.
