Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes. Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor immediately.

Bulletin details

For the following areas... Duluth MN to Port Wing WI... Lake Superior west of a line from Saxon Harbor WI to Grand Portage MN beyond 5NM... Port Wing to Sand Island WI... Silver Bay Harbor to Two Harbors MN... Two Harbors to Duluth MN... At 550 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 10 nm southeast of Stoney Point, or 16 nm east of Duluth Lift Bridge Channel, moving northeast at 40 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to 40 knots, and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include... Brule Point and Port Wing Harbor.
