For the following areas... Black River To Ontonagon MI... Lake Superior from Saxon Harbor WI to Upper Entrance to Portage Canal MI 5NM off shore to the US/Canadian border including Isle Royale National Park... Saxon Harbor WI to Black River MI... At 433 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 20 nm southeast of Madeline Island, or 43 nm south of The Western Lake Superior Buoy, moving northeast at 20 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
