For the following areas... Lake Superior from Upper Entrance to Portage Canal to Manitou Island MI 5NM off shore to the US/Canadian Border... At 602 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 21 nm northwest of Brockway Mountain, or 27 nm south of Mott Island Park Headquarters, moving east at 10 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. The strong thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters.
