For the following areas... Lake Superior East of a line from Manitou Island to Marquette MI and West of a line from Grand Marais MI to the US/Canadian Border Beyond 5NM from shore... At 900 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 12 nm southeast of The Eastern Lake Superior Buoy to 33 nm northwest of Grand Sable Dunes to 15 nm north of Laughing Whitefish Point, moving east at 20 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.
