Mariners can expect gusty winds, high waves, dangerous lightning, and heavy rains. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass. Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor immediately. Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded metal objects.

Cape Suckling to Cape Cleare from 15 to 75 NM... * Until 1215 PM HST. * At 1148 AM HST, Doppler radar indicated severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts, winds 34 knots or greater, and small hail. These storms were located along a line extending from 62 nm southwest of Copper River Delta to 63 nm southwest of Cape Suckling, moving east at 15 knots.
