Bulletin details
Unusually warm temperatures are likely through Monday early evening. The warmest temperatures will occur during the afternoon into early evening, today and Monday. High temperatures across the Anchorage Bowl and lower Hillside will be in the low to mid 70s. Expect warmer temperatures inland with cooler temperatures along the coast. The overnight low will be in the 50s. Take extra precautions when working in the sun. Wear sunscreen and lightweight, loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion. Close curtains during the daytime to reduce sun insolation into the home and open windows at night to allow the home to cool off. Utilize fans or community buildings with air conditioning. Metzler
