Bulletin details
Low temperatures in the upper teens Wednesday morning has caused the 4-7 inches of wet snow from Monday, that had partially melted Tuesday, to refreeze. Slick surfaces are expected across the Fairbanks Metro Area as wet surfaces and small water puddles have frozen into thin sheets of ice. Areas of heavy, wet snow have also frozen into a sturdier, more ice like form. Travel may be impacted, especially during the Wednesday morning commute. Additional rain and snow showers are expected overnight Wednesday into Thursday with much lighter accumulations than Monday. Less than an inch of new snow is possible with only a few hundredths of an inch of liquid equivalent expected.
