Bulletin details

An incoming system will move over the panhandle Sunday into Monday, bringing extended periods of moderate to heavy rain for the southern panhandle. Highest rain rates are expected after 4 PM Sunday through early Monday morning, possibly reaching around 0.3 inches per hour, primarily for Ketchikan, Metlakatla, and Misty Fjords. Rainfall totals could be as high as 2 to 3.5 inches by Monday afternoon. Moderate to high confidence for heavy rain over Annette Island and Ketchikan areas with highest rain totals near Misty Fjords. Small streams and rivers may rise, but no river flooding is expected at this time. Ponding of water on some roadways is likely.
