Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

At 609 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles northeast of Bull City to American Village. Movement was southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Alabaster, Bessemer, Hueytown, Calera, Montevallo, Wilton, North Johns, Splash Adventure, American Village, University Of Montevallo, Maylene, Concord, McCalla, Promenade Tannehill, Weller, Bent Brook Golf Club, McAdory, and Dogwood.
