At 543 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Bayou La Batre to 6 miles west of Gulf Shores. Movement was south at 15 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects....

What the bulletin says to do

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. If on or near areas of water, get out and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Grand Bay, Bayou La Batre, Dauphin Island, Fort Morgan, Coden, and Alabama Port.
