Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

At 623 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Deerlick Creek Campgrounds to near Mertz. Movement was east at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Eastern Tuscaloosa, Brent, Centreville, Holt, Brookwood, Coaling, Vance, West Blocton, Abernant, West Centreville, Lake Wildwood, Deerlick Creek Campgrounds, Low Gap, Mertz, Eoline, Mercedes Benz Of Alabama, North Bibb, Cottondale, East Brookwood, and Peterson.
