At 1252 AM MST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Piestewa Peak Park, or near Phoenix, moving northwest at 5 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Phoenix, Glendale, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Piestewa Peak Park, Deer Valley Airport, Downtown Glendale, Metro Center, Camelback Mountain, and North Mountain Park. This includes the following highways... AZ Interstate 10 near mile marker 147. AZ Interstate 17 between mile markers 203 and 214. AZ Route 51 between mile markers 1 and 15.
